What are legal concerns regarding notes?

In StudySoup, we only allow user-generated content that has been created using your own perspectives, examples, etc.

No copyrighted materials, old exams or papers, direct transcriptions of PowerPoint slides, etc. are allowed on StudySoup. Given that your notes are your own content, there is no issue with you posting those notes. If, however, an independent professor has an issue with sharing and selling notes in your class, we encourage you to speak with your professor about the fact that StudySoup does not allow cheating or copyrighted materials to be posted.

However, if your prof is adamantly against you posting notes, abide by your prof's wishes. We encourage students to use their best judgment, and we will never ask a student to do anything that compromises their standing with their school.
